Photo editing project
In the photo editing project, I took a photo of the street and removed the people and cars from the scene. Then used the content aware-fill tool and the clone stamp tool to recover the blank spot with the wild animals to present a scenery where animals took place of humans and lived in the city.
During the process of creating this project, I learned that multimedia is an effective way of communication because it conveys the message through logos and pathos. With logos, the message is appealing to the audience's ideology; with pathos, the audience can feel the same thing that the author is feeling, and therefore understand the message in a clearer way.
illustration project
In the illustration project, I made an infographic that is promoting blood donation. I used illustrator to draw the shape and construct the blood pool using the 3D modeling feature to turn a line into a product that you see.
What I learned from this project is that in multimedia communication, an image can have so many different meanings, sometimes it is only effective if there is text along with it to explain the meaning behind the image. Otherwise, your message might not be conveyed completely to your audience.
Interactive project
In the interactive project, I did a timeline that shows a normal daily of a college student. Within the timeline, I split the time into different sections and for each section, I put down an activity along with images or videos that explain what the character did.
What I learn from this project is that video is a very good way of conveying a message because it is active communication where the audiences can actually put themself into the perspective of the author and see things from the author's point of view. This allows them to better understand what they are presented with, and the message will more likely to be received thoroughly.
